How do two parents sync overnight?
One parent unlocks partner sync and shares a 6-digit code. The other parent enters that code on their own phone — no accounts, emails, or passwords — and from then on every feed, pump, diaper, and upright hold appears live on both phones.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Snugl has no login by design. Single-parent mode works entirely on your device with no sign-up, and partner pairing uses a numeric code instead of an account.

Does the upright-hold timer work on the Lock Screen and Apple Watch?
Yes. The upright countdown runs on your iPhone Lock Screen as a Live Activity, so you do not need to open the app, and it buzzes your wrist when the hold is done — on an Apple Watch or any wearable that mirrors notifications. It is silent, so it will not wake the baby or your partner.
How is Snugl different from other baby-tracking apps?
Most baby apps aim to log everything permanently, with charts and months of history. Snugl deliberately keeps only the recent picture — last night's timeline and a simple 7-day view — then lets the rest go. It is a calm coordination tool for two parents, not a permanent medical record.
Is Snugl private, and does it work offline?
Snugl collects very little and never sells your data or shows ads. Single-parent mode runs fully on your device and works offline; shared syncing needs an internet connection. Shared data is tied to an anonymous family ID, not your name or email.
Is Snugl available on Android?
Snugl is currently available on iPhone only. Features like the Lock Screen timer and wrist alerts are built specifically for iOS.

Snugl is a coordination app for new parents to keep track of overnight baby care — feeds, pumps, diaper changes, and upright holds — and to share that live status with a partner. We built Snugl to be private by default. This policy explains what we collect (very little), why, and what we never do.
The short version
- No sign-up. No name, email, phone number, or contacts required or collected.
- Single-parent use stays entirely on your device.
- No ads. No tracking. We never sell or share your data.
- Recent activity is kept for about a week, then automatically deleted.
What we collect
Only what's needed for the app to work:
- Baby-care log entries you create — the type of event (feed, pump, diaper, upright), timing, and small details like side or ounces. These describe care activity, not a person.
- An anonymous identifier used to connect two paired devices to the same shared family. It is a random ID, not tied to your real-world identity, email, or Apple Account.
- Purchase status for the one-time "Partner Sync" unlock, so the app knows whether the feature is active. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card or billing details.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
How your data is stored
- Single-parent mode: everything stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Paired mode: to sync between two phones, your log entries and the anonymous family ID are stored in our secure backend (hosted on Supabase) and shared only with the device that joined your family using your 6-digit code.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers strictly to run the app:
- Supabase — secure database and real-time sync for paired families.
- RevenueCat & Apple — to process and verify the one-time in-app purchase.
- Apple — to deliver Lock Screen Live Activities and local notifications on your device.
These providers process data only to provide their service to Snugl and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention
Snugl is about the recent picture, not a permanent record. Detailed log entries are automatically removed after roughly a week, on your device and in the paired backend alike. You can also erase all local data at any time from Settings → "Reset app," and you can unpair from a partner to stop sharing.
Children's privacy
Snugl is intended for use by parents and guardians. Any information about an infant is entered by the adult using the app for their own coordination. Snugl is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Data in the paired backend is protected by row-level security so that only members of your family — devices that joined with your code — can read it. Data in transit is encrypted.
Your choices
- Use Snugl entirely offline in single-parent mode.
- Reset all local data from Settings at any time.
- Unpair to stop sharing with a partner.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
